The BD CTGCTV2 assay can be run on patient- and clinician-collected vaginal swabs*, urine samples, endocervical swabs**, and on liquid-based cytology media (PreservCyt®)**, with similar performance.1

With the possibility to use patient-collected samples* for STI testing, you may spend more time with your patients and focus on more critical tasks.

Patient collection is highly accepted among women which may help increase uptake of STI testing.3

Patient collection of vulvovaginal swabs has excellent sensitivity in women with and without symptoms, when associated with nucleic acid amplification testing (NAAT), like the BD CTGCTV2 assay.2

The ability to detect CT, GC and TV in urine samples allows you to include men in testing.1

Male partners of women infected with TV are often also infected without knowing it:

  •     72% have TV infection
  •     77% of them are asymptomatic
